This page gives general information in simple words. It is not advice for your own case. What is right for you depends on your examination and your reports. Your doctor will explain your options and you decide.

Common questions

Should I come with an empty stomach for a sugar test?

For a fasting sugar test, yes. Do not eat for eight hours before. Call the front desk and they will tell you exactly what to do for your test.

I feel fine. Do I still need to check sugar and BP?

Yes. Both can be high for years without any feeling of illness. That is why a check-up matters even when you feel well.

Can I stop my BP tablets once the reading is normal?

Never stop on your own. The reading is normal because of the tablet. Talk to your doctor first.

Are blood tests done here?

Yes, in the same building. Most reports come the same day.

Not sure which doctor you need?

Call the front desk. Tell them your problem in your own words and they will tell you which doctor to see, and when to come.
